Gala For Life

Join the PCRF on the 5th of May at The Address Hotel Dubai Marina, 8pm, for a fundraising dinner celebrating the lives of the children that have been treated through the tremendous efforts of the PCRF, where all proceeds go towards building a much needed Pediatric Cancer Ward in Al Hussein Hospital Beit Jala, Palestine.

The night will include entertainment by the incredibly talented pianist Malika Omar, an inspirational photography exhibition and an auction with all sorts of goodies, such as air tickets, paintings, jewelry and lots more. Give a child hope, give wisely!

Soo Yoo Lym

Can you believe this is a painting? So Yoon Lym‘s collection of paintings called The Dreamtime features the unique art of hair braiding.

The Dreamtime is a reference to the pre-colonial Aboriginal Australian understanding of life and the particular viewpoints as understood by the dreamtime.  This could be regarded as a form of spirituality.  The dreamtime was an understanding of time and the creation of all things as told by myths about the continuum of past, present and future.  The aborigines believed in what the European coined, the dreamtime, which to the aborigines was an interconnected way of living on an earth that they believed was inhabited by the spirits of shared ancestors.

Twitter fans, you've gotta find a TweetingSeat for your next Tweet.  TweetingSeat was created by Product Designer Chris McNicholl and is an original interactive park bench. The concept aims at connecting the digital world with the physical seating-in-the-park experience. The bench logs its usage by uploading images of its users and environment to a live Twitter feed, allowing people to interact with it both in person and virtually.

Each time someone sits down, TweetingSeat uploads an image from two cameras to the Twitterfeed. One camera is located on the bench looking at the surrounding space, and another is located nearby looking at the people who use it.
